Der Brief im Wortlaut: 27 May 2014 Mr. Thomas Treß Mr. Carsten Cramer Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA Rheinlanddamm 207-209 44137 Dortmund Germany Dear Messrs. Treß and Cramer, It is with great pride that I write to you, commending Borussia Dortmund on its efforts to combat racism. The recent campaign with the tagline “Together against racism” is certainly a step in the right direction to contest the pro-Nazi groups in Germany. Our joint commitment to fight against racism and discrimination will ensure the continued success of this beautiful game of football, which has the duty of bringing awareness and education to combat ignorance and prejudice. Even though we have come a long way in the quest to embrace diversity, unfortunately discrimination is still undermining the social equality that is so intrinsic to our sport. As we continue to promote diversity and create an equal platform for all to enjoy, this is not only about protecting the integrity of football, but working among all stakeholders to promote positive role models. The football family must certainly be a fundamental part of these battles. Thank you for spreading the good word and taking a stance against discrimination in Germany. It will not go unnoticed. Sincerely, Jeffrey Webb President of CONCACAF Vice President of FIFA
